| Job Description: |
Overview of Client & Role
A multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal/Associate Director Acoustics for their North East office.
Qualifications & Experience Required
-Broad experience of noise measurement and assessment work
-Report writing, making presentations, and working to deadlines
- Familiarity with noise modelling software, ideally using CadnaA
-Experience of sound insulation testing and software (e.g. Bastian)
-Preparation of expert reporting and presentation as an Expert Witness at Public Inquiry
-Experience of undertaking assessment to some or all of the following standards: CRTN, CRN, BS4142, BS5228, ISO9613-2, WHO Guidelines, Control of Noise at Work Regulations and Building Regulations
Key Responsibilities
-Managing and undertaking noise projects and noise assessments for EIAs
-Assisting in project management of multi-disciplinary environmental assessments
-Staff supervision and client liaison appropriate to grade
-Preparing cost estimates and tender / proposal documentation for noise projects
-Preparing draft invoices for TD approval where appropriate
-Acting as expert witness at Public Inquiry
-Developing building sound insulation testing proficiency and develop new markets, including appropriate supervision and training for team members
-Contributing to the marketing of the team’s acoustic capabilities in general
-Comply with Health and Safety duties, and supervise less-experienced staff
-Comply with the Firms Quality Management System and management of files where appropriate
The position of Principal/Associate Director Acoustics is a permanent position.
