Our client is the only Chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence.

Due to business growth, they currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager with a Training and Development background. For this position we require a highly organised, confident and capable senior sales person who excels in working to targets and deadlines. As this role is field based you must have a full driving licence and be a self motivated person able to work on your own initiative as well as being comfortable with long distance travel.

 
Job Description:

Covering Scotland, and the North of England you will develop business and promote the products and services of our client. You will visit prospective clients as well as Account Managing existing relationships to ensure that the number of Approved Centres increases. This will involve presenting to groups of people so confidence is essential. You will work to targets and deadlines to achieve bonus. Using your wealth of experience you will support the Awarding body with ideas to address market gaps and create new business opportunities as well as gaining feedback from existing clients to guarantee constant improvement.

 
Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidates will have a proven track record in consultative selling, preferably in a membership/qualifications environment. A born communicator, you should be able to influence and negotiate on all levels. Our client pride’s itself on being experts in their field so up to date knowledge of business issues, Politics and current affairs affecting management is essential as well as excellent ICT skills. You will be responsible for making rational, realistic and sound decisions in a timely fashion, there is no time for crumbling under pressure.
